Friends Across America - Recipes: Fruitcake Cookies

Fruitcake Cookies

3 sticks margarine
1 ¼ c. sugar
3 c. flour (all purpose)
½ tsp. cloves
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. allspice
4 eggs
2 Tbs. wine
1 lb. diced candied cherries
1 lb. diced candied pineapple
2 qt. chopped pecans

Cream margarine and sugar in a bowl. Add flour and spices and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Add the wine, fruit and pecans. Mix well. Drop by tsp. on greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 min. at 350° having pan of water on bottom rack of oven.....From the kitchen of Linda Stover, FL.
