Pear Cake

1 1/4 cup cooking oil
2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups pears (raw)
1 cup nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all of the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl, pour mixture into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Leave in pan to cool. Cut into squares to serve.
