Creamy Strawberry Angel Cake

1 pkg. white angel food cake mix
1 cup boiling water
1 small pkg. strawberry jello (sugar free if desired)
1/2 cup cold water
1 pt. strawberries, sliced
1-8 oz. cool whip

Prepare and bake cake mix as directed; cool. Pour boiling water in jello; stir until jello is dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until thickened but not set. Fold in strawberries and half of the cool whip. Refrigerate about 15 minutes until thickened but not set. Split cake horizontally to make 3 layers. Fill layers with jello mixture. Spread remaining whipped topping over top. Garnish with strawberries if desired........."This light and refreshing cake is one of my family's favorites. It is so quick, easy and delicious.
